Dance Team Master Class

Come dance again on The Banks with your fellow Scarlet Knight Dance Team teammates from the past 25 years!

The day will begin with a stretch, followed by a morning class, lunch (provided), an afternoon class, and then a performance of each routine. You can choose from jazz, hip hop, or pom in both the morning and afternoon sessions. The day is all about having a great time and doing what you love with some old friends, so these routines won't require a lot of technical skills — just a whole lot of showmanship and having fun!

HIP HOP
ADAR WELLINGTON

Adar Wellington was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where she studied jazz, ballet, hip-hop, and modern for 18 years. She was a dance major at Rutgers University, where she was a member of the nationally ranked Rutgers University Dance Team. Her performance credits include: touring with Rihanna and Ashanti; dancing with recording artists such as Kanye West, Pitbull, Diddy, Ciara, Fergie, Elton John, Ricky Martin, Akon, and Panic at the Disco; the original cast of Jerry Mitchell's Peepshow in Las Vegas; featured dancer in Usher's music video, "Scream"; Glee ("Natural Woman"), and more. Adar was captain of the NBA’s NETS Dancers from 2005 through 2008, and is currently the Coach and Choreographer of the Brooklyn NETS Dancers, the professional dance team that performs at every Brooklyn NETS Basketball home game in diverse styles including hip hop, jazz, musical theater, Latin, and swing. The Brooklyn NETS Dancers also serve as ambassadors of the NBA throughout the world, with recent performances in Russia, Spain, England, China, Singapore, South Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico.

JAZZ
BEN CAMERON + ERIC STRETCH

Ben Cameron has appeared on Broadway in Wicked (original cast), Aida, and Footloose (original cast). His touring credits include Sweet Charity (opposite Molly Ringwald), Footloose, Fame-The Musical, State Fair, and Tommy. Ben has served on the faculties of NYU’s Cap 21 Studio and Wagner College. He has danced for Dre.Dance (Andrew Palermo and Taye Diggs dir.), The Utah Contemporary Dance Theater (now called Odyssy), and on the ESPY awards. He is a sought after performer, writer, director, and host in NYC.

Eric Stretch can be seen in Madonna’s music video, “Give Me All Your Love,” and on “Boardwalk Empire” in the role of Sterling. His Broadway credits include "Wicked" (and the National Tour), "La Cage Aux Folles," and "Aida." As a member of the recording group No Authority, Eric recorded two albums under Maverick Record and toured all over the world opening up for artist such as Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, Destiny’s Child, and Pink. They topped the charts with their hit single, “Can I Get Your Number?”

JENNY SWEET

Jenny Sweet is a long-time friend of the Rutgers University Dance Team and the Coach of the nationally ranked Academy of the Holy Angels Dance Team, who placed third at this year's National Dance Team Championships. Jenny studied ballet at Seiskaya Ballet Academy, danced on the nationally ranked James Madison University Dance Team, was a Universal Dance Association core instructor, and currently teaches dance at the Cicely Tyson High School for the Performing Arts in East Orange, NJ.
